T Shirts Have Come So Far

Remember when you had only 1 choice of a T-Shirt and it was heavy feeling?  Stiff?  And back in the day, we loved them.  Well, technology has taken us so far in the 100% cotton T-Shirt realm.

And definitely not soft....Today we here are Ink It Up only sell our favorites in the Ring Spun type T-shirt.  We like them to feel soft, yummy, lightweight, and look great when worn.

The other day I had my grandson over and he needed a shirt...he says oh I like that color, it was a Bella Unisex Olive Green.  He starts to put it on and out come the words...oh this is so soft.  (And this is from a teenager!)  So when a teenager notices just how wonderful a good ole T-Shirt feels, you know that your client is going to notice too.

We carry Graphic Tees, custom screenprinted Tees (and every kind of apparel known to man, HaHa) and love to print them in multiple colors in the image and in multiple places.

Here are some of the benefits of ringspun cotton shirts--

  • Ring spun cotton feels soft and smooth due to its refined production process.
  • Its construction creates a stronger, tighter fabric weave that still feels lightweight and breathable.
  • Because of the tighter knit, ring spun fabric is more durable than standard cotton and tends to last longer.

Those are some great reasons to only provide ring spun T-Shirts!

So with that said, Let's go do some printing:)

Marketing in the New World

How do you market when you are limited in being in person for your networking?

Do you just sit on Zoom and chit chat?   My good referral buddy, Maile Collmer, has some sage advice where she recommends that you do "How are you? calls."  Doesn't have to have anything to do with business, but all about the person on the other end of the telephone.  It's ALL about them...and guess what?

It gets the energy going, reminds them of you, your business, and BUILDS a sturdy relationship!

Then there is the old-fashioned notecard, or postcard, or a lumpy mail gift that comes in the good ole' USPS--now how many are doing this?  Let's be the one that stands out.

And when you start thinking of a lumpy mail campaign...now we are talking about what we can do to help you achieve a great open rate on that envelope with a magnet, pen, tin of mints, emery board, eyeglass cloth, chocolate bar, small notebook, and so much more.  Just ask us & we can brainstorm up a great idea!

So what are your goals for 2022?  And how can you add some How are you calls & traditional lumpy mail campaigns to build your revenue stream?

Let's team up and get ourselves back to 2019 revenue:)  Go Team!!

They would not be loving can coozies!!  We used a cold gel that freezes and has a large imprint area and his people at events are loving it!!!!

Wow, what a fantastic tradeshow in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay!!

Did you know we walked over 10 miles of aisles just to find the exact right promotional items for our clients great 2013 promotions?  We did it!!  And had fun doing it!

Exercise bands, specific brand even, for one client, bike lights for another for his great kids bike rodeo event, bean bags for our physical trainer--this was a hard one, but we found it!

We had fun finding shooting nerf guns for an August wedding and rubber duckies that are dressed as fishermen along with an alligator, seal, whale, and dolphin for a client's ducky drop event.

We went looking for new ideas for automotive and motorcycle giveaways, spent time checking out all the new tradeshow and banner displays so we can continue to be the expert, and participated in a new booth attracting client event.

And that was only day one!

Then on to finding hats to bling for a swim team, a nantucket red golf hat for a family reunion this summer, a calendar with custom photos for each month, a cap that has lights built into the cap for a client, and sweatshirts that come in tall sizes.  They don't make many of the tall anymore!!

We looked for items for a hand analysis client and checked out lots of bags for an upcoming sponsored event!

We came up with a new website option for us, so keep on the edge of your seat as we unroll some new things in the next couple of months!

We just LOVE tradeshows!

And we even had energy to go see the water show at the Bellagio, but let me tell you the hot tub got lots of use!!

I love lumpy mail!

Have you ever received LUMPY mail?  (Dimensional mail)

Do you classify it as mystery mail?  But does it make you OPEN it?  Yes!!  We all love treats!   And satisfying our curiosity, of course.

That in my line of work is called a self-promo marketing technique.  When you are trying to attract new clients, there are some great ways to self-promo.

Lumpy mail has a high open rate, double digits,  vs flat mail that hits the circular file.

A mail campaign with a “lumpy” item inside will give you the edge when trying to get in the door to a NEW client or the chief decision maker.

It needs to have a great one page letter to go along with it.

Then follow up with a phone call to everyone that received your lumpy letter.

One of my good referral sources could send out his letter with a squeaky duck inside.  Don’t you think that would get opened, passed around, & left out for all of the office to see?  You bet.

They would remember him when he calls & that gives him an edge to getting into the main decision maker’s door!

It is just so much fun for us to design great marketing campaigns that open doors for our clients.  It certainly brings a smile to our faces!

So during this Holiday season remember, whether you are mailing a “treat” (a promotional item with your logo on it), a Holiday gift (why give something with Starbucks logo on it?), or a Thank you to your clients, it pays to put your logo on it.

What's in your toolbox?

What’s in your marketing toolbox?

Do you have experts on hand to delegate marketing tasks?

Experts in marketing are great to have in your tool box.

It’s like the Handy Manny of tool boxes, us marketing experts actually talk & listen!   (Just Like Handy Manny's tools!)

Whether you have an office or work from home, marketing can be challenging no matter what the economy.

So, let’s talk about walking into your office.  (And you think, what does this have to do with marketing?  Remember this is where they make the decision to buy from you or use your services!)

Take the perspective today of a new client walking into your office.  What do they see?  Having great framed art creating the “look” of your business on the walls with a nice comfy couch or chair welcomes them into your world.

How does it make them feel?  Look around, is your office in chaos or serene?  Is it too serene for your line of work so that it looks like you do not accomplish what you say you will.  Is it too chaotic that makes you look disorganized?

Using the client perspective can be enlightening as we see our office everyday & it helps to take a good look at what our new client is seeing.  Everyday we can choose to improve our business & making our office really reflect who we are & want to be is a great place to start!

And the good thing is there are experts who you can add to your toolbox to help organize, market, decorate, and create the look you desire!
